How to send us an encrypted message

  1. If you do not have the GNU Privacy Guard on your computer, download and install the GNU Privacy Guard for Windows (Gpg4win) from the GNU Privacy Project (GnuPP for Windows). Gpg4win is Free Software and can be installed with just a few mouse clicks.
  2. Generate your pair of keys. Keep the passphrase secured private key by yourself. You need to extract your public key from the system and send it to your recipients (see step 7).
  3. Copy our public key from the bottom of our contact page . Mark the text block from the beginning of this line:

    -----BEGIN PGP PUBLIC KEY BLOCK-----

up to the end of this line:

    -----END PGP PUBLIC KEY BLOCK-----

  4. Paste this text block into an open text editor (e.g. Notepad) and save the file for example as "onlineprotest.asc". Add ("import") our public key to your key-ring.
  5. Write your message to us in an open text editor. Encrypt your message with our public key.
  6. Paste your encrypted message into the "Comment" field of the contact form and press the send button.
  7. If you want us to reply to your message, go again to the contact page and copy/paste your own public key into the form and press send. Do not forget to type your name and your email address into the contact form!

How to decrypt an email sent from us

  1. If you have sent us a message and your own public key through the contact form, you will receive an encrypted email from us after some days.
  2. You need to import our public key to your key-ring as described above.
  3. Open the email and mark the text block from the beginning of this line:

    -----BEGIN PGP MESSAGE-----

up to the end of this line:

    -----END PGP MESSAGE-----

  4. Copy the text to the clipboard.
  5. Start the GNU Privacy Guard, open the clipboard editor and paste the encrypted text.
  6. Click on "Decrypt/verify" and enter your passphrase. After that you should be able to see the decrypted text.
